PHYSICAL LITERACY – Just like Reading and Writing, Children Need to Learn How to Move!
What is physical literacy? Physical activity is a lot more fun when we’re physically literate. If we want our children to be active for life, they need to develop physical literacy at a young age. Physicalliteracy.ca offers coaches, recreational professionals and health practitioners access to a wide range of resources that can help people become physically literate.
Developing Physical Literacy in children through the learning of the Fundamental Movement Skills (run jump throw catch strike kick hop balance agility) in a variety of environments (snow ice ground outdoors air water) will help them to be more competent in their movements & confident in their abilities. Giving them a greater chance of becoming Active for Life. Giving our children that chance.
