Records fell and personal bests were set at the annual Elwood Wylie Memorial Meet at the Rotary Bowl this weekend.
The Nanaimo Track and Field Club had a number of big time performances at their annual meet by local athletes, including Madison Heisterman coming within a breath of a 40-year-old record, Sean Miller joining the conversation of some of the best distance runners in the province, Jason Clare closing in on a spot on the provincial team and para thrower Jesseye Brockway shattering three provincial records.
More than 400 athletes from more than a dozen clubs came out for the meet, including 96 from Nanaimo.
