Fraser and Pawluk crowned as Timex BC Road Running Series Champions

The final race in the 2012 Timex BC Road Running Series was run on Sunday, in conjunction with the Kelowna Midsummer 8K.

In Kelowna, John Machuga and Catrin Jones were the individual race winners, as both consolidated their places in the overall series standings. Machuga was a clear winner in 27:09, over Hans Aabye and Nate Reiter. Jones was an even more emphatic winner in 29:26, over Amy Buzikievich and Michelle Blackburne.

The top four overall finishers in the series receive cash prizes, and invitations to represent BC at the Timex Series Finale and National 10K Championship in Toronto in September. The next three finishers receive Timex merchandise.

The series comprised of fifteen races from 5K to Half Marathon, throughout BC, between January and July. Series scoring is based on performance.

2. Sabrina Wilkie, 4228 pts
3. Melissa Ross, 4222 pts
4. Catrin Jones, 4209 pts
5. Care Nelson, 4144 pts
6. Erin Burrett, 4130 pts
7. Katherine Moore, 4100 pts
